Caleb wanted to reach down and pet the dog, but stopped when she told the dog no.

He blinked owlishly at the woman. Did he look disoriented? God, he probably looked like shit. He ran a hand through his hair self-consciously. "Um, yeah. I'm Caleb and I'm in Siren Cove, right?"
